On the eve of their biggest fundraising event of the year, Wyong Lakes have been devastated following a fire destroying their clubhouse at Don Small Oval.
The suspicious fire happened at approximately 1am last night and gutted the building which held all the clubs equipment and also all their stock for this weekend.
"We are devastated" the clubs secretary, John Griffey said.
"The club has put a lot of work into tomorrow's charity day and everything we had for the weekend was in the clubhouse" Griffey added.
Subject to getting the okay from the local authorities, the club is adamant that tomorrow's events will proceed.
"We want the day tomorrow, and hopefully everyone will come down and support the day which now carries extra significance" Griffey said.
The days events commence at 12.30pm with the main game to kick off at 2pm.
The days events will also see club legend Bill Denniss play his 600th game for the club.
Now more than ever we need everyone to rally behind the club.
