Restarting Football

At Brunswick Zebras, the health and well being of all of our members is our number one priority. Your committee has been liaising with Moreland City Council, Melbourne City Council, Football Victoria and other relevant bodies to determine the how we might best restart football for our members.

With the recently announced easing of restrictions, we have reviewed what options were available for us to meaningfully return to training conditions. Unfortunately, we have determined that this is not realistically possible at this stage, for example, there is a Council requirement of a maximum of 10 participants on the entire pitch at any one time, parents and any others are required to keep a reasonable distance or will be included in the group of 10, maintaining physical distancing of 1.5 meters, no use of communal facilities, no shared equipment etc.

We will be reviewing this situation again on 31st May 2020 at which point we are hoping for a further easing in restrictions.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
