Under 14 Girls Leading the Way!
SURF COAST FC Girls charging
Surf Coast FC have continued on as the dominant club in the girls game, with the club this week achieving a remarkable feat of having the two Surf Coast FC teams competing in the 10 team under 14 girls comp placed first and second on the ladder.
The girls from both teams have played brilliantly, having lost only one game each for the year.
Surf Coast Blue, currently on top by goal difference, have a number of very talented girls and are generally between the age of 10 and 13 in the u14 girls comp. These young girls have regularly competed against teams with over-age exemptions, who are 4 years older than them.
However, Surf Coast Blue have used their skill to defeat girls who are much older and much bigger on average.
Surf Coast Yellow, mostly made up of the u13s girls from last year also have been playing with a lot of skill and heart, having only conceded 6 goals for the whole season.
Surf Coast Yellow have put together some eye-catching performances, dominating games through team work.
Both teams attempt to play real football, using a passing game and quick ball movement, with strong shielding skills.
