VCL awards night a winner all round
On Saturday 10 March the FFV held the VCL awards event at AAMI Park Melbourne.
The event was a resounding success with nearly 1,000 VCL participants in attendance.
Awards were handed out to the champion teams of the 2011/2012 season as well as awards to the best volunteers, administrators and coaches of the season.
All of this took place before the kick off to the Melbourne Heart FC v Wellington Phoenix FC game and at half time of the A League game the awards for the VCL All-Stars team and overall best zone were announced.
For the South East Cougars the U15 Girls team took out the championship award and Amy Silver, of the same U15G team, was announced in the VCL All-Stars girls team.
Also Oliver Paterno of the U17 Boys team was announced in the VCL All - Stars boys team.
Congratulations to all of the teams, players, volunteers, coaches and of course parents involved with the VCL 2011/2012 season for making this the best VCL season ever.
