The Toronto Dingos made it three wins on the trot, after dismantling the winless Blues to the tune of 44 points at Humber on Saturday.
In windy conditions, both teams found it hard in front of goals, but the Dingos prevailed with 9.13 (67) to the Blues 2.11 (23).
Aussie pair Ben Sinclair and Rob McNaughton both chipped in with three goals each, accounting for six of the nine goals. Harry Shelton continued his impressive development as a key forward kicking two majors, while Dingo stalwart Ben Moller kicked truly for one goal.
Half back Greg Gilbert has started the year on fire and was let loose in the midfield. Dingos captain Mike Bocian said there was a lot to like about his game against the Blues. “Greggy played a great game. He roved around and took marks.”
Next Saturday at Humber South the undefeated Dingos take on the undefeated Wildcats at Humber in a top four battle. The winner gets some breathing space at the top of the table.
