A small crowd watched on July 23 as the women’s team played against the Etobicoke Kangaroos at Humber College South in Toronto. According to Yaser Abou Elenein, head coach of the team, Bailey Rudnick was a standout in the game, playing a new position as the ruck.
“She definitely stood out as someone that played beyond her limited experience of the sport and played very well,” said Abou Elenein.
Although playing a well-experienced team in the Kangaroos, the game was an opportunity for the women’s team to grow and develop their skills.
“At the end of the day, I think the experience of playing these games against better opposition, understanding how they play the game, and our players are learning a lot with the game that they play,” said Abou Elenien.
The team played hard against the Kangaroos but lost the game with a score of 1.0-6 to 21.13-139.
