Football
Last week had the under 19’s lose their first match of the season by just two points to 2nd on the ladder Park Orchards. The boys squandered an early lead but went down fighting in what will hopefully be a game changer for their season. The loss will no doubt get them fired up and not want to lose another game for the rest of the year. In the game once again superstar Ngong Arou played well kicking 4 and Alexander Digby was judged to do well from the midfield. They look to getting some confidence back playing bottom of the ladder Fair Park at Fair Park at 10:00 am tomorrow.
The reserves continued on their winning way in knocking off second-placed Forest Hill, giving them a realistic chance of a top two finish. They were particularly dominant in the first half playing to their full dominant potential. Josh Garvin and Paul Collopy look to press for a senior recall kicking 3 each and playing very impressively. They look to continue their good form playing Fair Park at Fair Park at 12:05 PM.
The seniors yet again got off to a slow start, they managed to peg it back a bit but never appeared to threaten Forest Hill too much going down by 4 goals. Chris Allen and Nick Snibson both performed well.
This week sees the much anticipated debut for ruckman Jesse ‘Big Show’ Lehmann. Jesse was injured in the final practice match of the season and has had a long recovery but we’re rapt to see him finally run out in Surrey colours. With the big man’s inclusion, we look to register win number three against Fair Park this week playing there at 2:10 PM.
