The final score – 10.5.65 to 7.11.53 does not tell the tale of a game that see-sawed throughout and in fact scores were level half way through the final quarter. A few pivotal moments went against us and those moments are how we learn and get better as players, teams and as a club.
For Surrey Hans Anjou again played wellandkicked two goals, with singles to Conrad Dickson, Noah Bennett, Fin Hanna, Josh Hayes and James Marshall, while Tom Spangaro, Paul Collopy, Anjou, Dickson and Marshall were our best.
Upcoming Events
September 15th – Presentation Night – Tonight’s event is set to be a ripper with over 130 to attend our big night. Check the website and Facebook in the coming days for details on the winners across all three teams.
October 16th – Annual General Meeting (AGM) – mark the date in your diary. All committee roles are vacated annually so this is your opportunity to help shape the future of your club – whether through your own nomination or helping decide who holds the key committee roles for 2018. A great indicator of the health of a club is the number of attendees at the AGM – so head up to Surrey Park at 7.30pm on Monday October 16th and have your say.
