Senior Club Update
The senior and reserve teams took on Forest Hill last week, while the under 19’s met Kilsyth.
The 19’s ran hard all day hard to record a solid 143 point victory, our fourth for the season. A big game from Harry Lacchiana saw him best afield and boot 11 goals to take him to 31 for the season and top of the 3rd/4th division goal kicking list.
The reserves came up against a strong opponent in Forest Hill that we have struggled against in recent times. This time the boys took it right up to their opponents but ultimately went down by 27 points. We remain second on the ladder and will look forward to testing ourselves against Forest Hill later in the year. For Surrey, Luke Jackson booted three and Ben Field was again named our best and is having a ripper season.
The senior team got off to a slow start to be down by four goals at quarter time, but to their credit fought hard to narrow the kead to just four points at into the last quarter. Unfortunately Forest Hill were able to kick on and we ended up going down 16 points. Graeme Johns kicked three and our best was Bede Briscomb who is having a great season.
A big call out this week to Stuart Johns who makes his senior debut tomorrow, and to Liam Doidge returning from a few weeks of injury.
