Senior President Matt McCubbin stated " After what has been a tough year for everyone, we can now only look ahead in the hope we will be right for the 2021 season. The club is extremely lucky to have all three coaches recommit to their roles after such successful campaigns for all sides in 2019. Neil, Steve & Mark are all quality coaches but are also fantastic people to have involved at our club in general. 2021 will be an exciting year for Mitcham as we move into our new rooms and we cannot wait to get back into the thick of it when all this has settled down."
All three sides played finals footy in 2019 with the Seniors eventual premiers, Reserves runners up and the 19's going out in the preliminary final. With the clubs new facilities and a talented young list pushing for success in Division 1 there will be no better place to be.
Neil Winterton (Playing Senior Coach) -
" Thank you to Macca and his committee for reappointing me for season 2021. It has obviously been a crazy 2020 and I can't wait to get back into it next season. With the new facilities now complete, the Mitcham Football Club will be the place to be in 2021. I look forward to seeing the Mitcham faithful out in force as we take the step up into Division 1 with an exciting young list."
Steve Jordan (Reserves Coach) -
" Its been very different with no footy in 2020 but it makes me even more excited than normal to get back into it. The talented group we have at the club right now only adds to that excitement, I cannot wait."
Mark Brindley (Under 19's Coach) -
" With season 2020 ending before it started my intention was to continue in my role heading into 2021. I am really thankful that Macca and the club were also very supportive of that. The focus for Steve (Richardson), Andrew (Moore) and myself will be to continue creating an environment where we can further the development of our future Senior footballers."
The clubs management and staff wish all three coaches the very best for what will be a highly anticipated 2021 season.
