Not the best weekend for the Tigers this week with only one of our netball teams winning and securing a finals berth while the reserves were the only winner on Saturday. Under 19s played the top of the table East Burwood at Nunawading and while the conditions were atrocious the boys whist beaten by a couple of goals showed that they can match it with the rams should they cross paths again come finals time. In contrast the Seniors and Reserves ventured out to Ringwood where the ground was in magnificent condition with the twos leading from start to finish in a dominant display, Seniors started well but showed little in a disappointing second half. NEXT WEEK we play our final home game of 2019 and also host our sponsors lunch, There are still some tickets left for sale with 4 time premiership star Jarryd Roughead as guest speaker, this is the one event of the football calendar not to be missed… Kicks off at 11.45 am and continues through to the beginning of the Senior game With Fantastic food and drinks provided you can book tickets via Matt McCubbin 0414 438 616 or on line https://mitchamfootballclub.teamapp.com/store/items/18919
Under 19 Coaches Report
The vagaries of a draw where some clubs do and some clubs don’t have teams, had us play East Burwood at Nunawading - I would hope the what came out of our loss on the weekend was the knowledge that if we apply a full 4 quarter effort we can take it right up to our opposition.
For the first quarter and an half our entire team executed our game plan perfectly.
Relentless pressure at every contest which had our opponents struggling to move the ball past their half forward line.
Unfortunately as good teams do, East Burwood found a way, and whilst we learn from our loss and take away many positives we must also focus on what comes next to ensure we give ourselves the opportunity to lock away the double chance come finals
Best Players: Jarrod Moore, Harry Prout, Tim Ross, Tommy Stingell, Lochie Richardson and Brodie Jarvis

Reserves Coaches Report
Our theme this week was Mind over Matter to embrace the conditions as we can’t change what it is, Ringwood was 2 points behind us in 3rd a massive game with a win for us meaning we sit 6 points ahead in top 2. The ground was in fantastic condition just surface slippage only. Our start was super kicking 3 goals to zero and looked the side that embraced the contest and wanted it more, we kicked 1 goal in the 2nd and missed 2-3 that would have seen us get reward in a terrific 1st half performance with a 30 point lead at halftime. The 3rd saw them come out hard as we expected seeing them kick 2 goals to our 1 in an even qtr, the boys set firmly on simple footy for the last with discipline structures and % play when needed, we kicked 1 goal 5 to their 1 point to take the win by 35 points. We had a great spread of players showing their stuff, our on ballers Tsolos,Tex,Frosty,Bluey were outstanding our back six Toby,DJ,Danger,Dryser and Marty set the foundation with rebound and lock in when we went forward, our front half with Brocky,Lee and Wexy presented all day just a all round great effort by the Team. At home to Heathmont this week where a win would see us secure top 2, they had the better of us last time so I know we will be ready for them as the prize of finishing top 2 is right in front of us. Huge appreciation for everyone that came to support, see you on the weekend.

Senior Coaches Report
This week we travelled out to Ringwood in what was a huge game for our season, a win would go a long way to cementing a top 2 spot and would guarantee a finals birth. With shocking weather predicted we braced ourselves for the first, however the sun made an appearance just before the first bounce and the game was played in clear conditions. In the first quarter it was a relatively even contest but we were able to hit the scoreboard and we took a 9 point lead into the quarter time break. In the 2nd quarter we started well but Ringwood got on top in the back half of the quarter and went into half time with a 6 point lead. The 3rd quarter sore Ringwood get on top as they gained control around the stoppages and looked dangerous going forward extending their lead to 25 points at ¾ time.We kicked the 1st goal of the last quarter to give us a chance, but Ringwood responded to kick the last 4 goals of the game and run out with a 47 point win.Jesse Uren was fantastic all day across half back and Ben Jospeh also gave us some good drive out of defence. Thanks to everyone who came along in the cold conditions, we hope to see you all at home this week against Heathmont.
