Never really a happy hunting ground Porter Street Templestowe for the Tigers but pleasing to say the seniors got the 4 points today, while the reserves snatched defeat from the jaws of victory and the under 19s who played away at Sth Croydon snatched victory from the jaws of defeat . The netball girls won one and lost one to round out a busy weekend for the Tigers. You can check out the website @www.mitchamfc.com early NEXT WEEK for the coach’s reports and we look forward to BIG Games next Saturday when we return to The MCG of the East to take on The Scoresby Magpies with the ladies lunch also running in the Mitcham Marquee and a player reunion under the scoreboard... Reserves Coaches Report
After a promising start Saturday was one of the most disappointing result we’ve had for a long time, to have times of dominance throughout the game in each qtr we couldn’t maintain that level as Templestowe were dogged and fought back to rally in the last qtr to kick the last 4 goals of the game and take the points. Our best for the day was super however we managed not to find a middle ground of form as at times we were below standard that we all expect and at this level of footy your best and worst cannot be that far apart. Although we had a full side for the first time in 5 weeks it was clear we have work to do heading into the last 4 rounds, still 2nd on the ladder it’s tight so wins are crucial to maintain where we are, Scoresby this week will be difficult as they hit some form so our boys have to respond. Tom V, Brocky and Danger were in our best however we will need more of a spread this week to get the points. Thanks to all that came along.

Senior Coaches Report
This week we travelled out to Templestowe in what was a huge game for us, the reward for victory would be 1st place on the ladder. In the first quarter our intensity was really good as we cracked in hard around the contest, our skill level however let us down as we turned the ball over going forward meaning we couldn’t impact the scoreboard as much as we would’ve liked, as scores were tied 2 goals apiece at the ¼ time break. In the 2nd quarter our attack on the footy continued to be really good, and we were able to clean up our entries going forward to get full reward for our hard work as we went into the half time break with a 26 point lead.
Templestowe came out hard at the start of the 3rd quarter as we knew they would, to our credit we were able to withstand that and extend our lead 36 points at ¾ time. In the last quarter Templestowe kicked the first 2 goals of the quarter to breathe some life into the game, but we responded with the next 2 goals to run away with a 37 point win. Zak Carroll was fantastic all day around the footy and Riley Nicholas was a tower of strength down back.
Thanks to everyone who came out to support us, we look forward to seeing you at home against Scoresby this weekend.
