Disappointing weekend for the Tigers with ALL four teams going down. Our netball girls lost by a solidity goal on Friday night 26 to 27 against Heathmont in a thriller. All three SNR teams wore black arm bands on Saturday as a mark of respect for our JNR President / SNR Treasurer Craig Giles whose younger brother passed away suddenly on Thursday - Our thoughts are with the Giles family. Our young under 19s put in a spirited performance against the ladder leaders going down by 10 goals with The Stingel boys again named in the best along with Powson, Irving and Antoniou. The Reserves had their chances but were blown away in the last Quarter with best players including Lee, Barro, Cherry, Nicholas, Tsolos, and Arguello. The Seniors again had good passages of play but again a 3rd quarter fade out proved to be the difference as Park Orchards piled on 10 goals in the 3rd . Jake Parente and Jessie Smyth both with 3 goals were named in the best along with Matt Gordon, Ryan, MacArtney and Lucas.
NEXT WEEK we are off to Bayswater to take on the Waters in what should be a hot contest; hopefully our young legs will enjoy the open spaces at the home of EFL Football. After a quick drink with the Baysie Folk, its back to the MCG of the East for The op shop themed night, there will be plenty of tunes and dancing, along with drink specials all night, Should be a real hoot.
Comedy night is ONLY a couple of weeks away - Saturday 26TH of May, as the Junior and Senior club come together as one for our biggest event of the year. Under 19s Coaches Report
Playing the top side was always going to be a challenge, But it was the way this young group accepted it that really pleased us this week. Park Orchards got off to a flyer but with some quick reshuffling we got back on terms with our highly ranked opponents. Our attack on the ball & tackling led by Brodie & Spitta was inspiring however losing a key defender before 1/2 time made our job a little harder but we were still playing ok
Without doubt our standout 1/4 for the season was our 3rd, as we got straight back to work keeping P.O. to 3 points whilst we kicked a couple of goals ourselves. We then fought out a tough last, unfortunately letting them kick 3 goals in junk time but a 2 goal to 5 second half against the top side was without winning a good result in what was very good team effort as we continue to grow as a team

Reserves Coaches Report
Ordinary day for us on Saturday as we took on a very good side in Park Orchards, with 3-4 players back after injury we went in with a real positive vibe across the group. Our first qtr was terrific full of pressure, voice and effort, the second started that way however we slightly switched off those area’s which saw them go into the main break with a 4 goal lead. Our 3rd qtr was steady as we wrestled an break even result but the 4th saw them kick away with the wind to win comfortable by 10 goals in an overall disappointing result. Roddy, Barro, Young, Nicholas and Blake Lee were super all day, Jess cherry and Captain Tsolos once again showed reliability in their performance. Staying in the game mentally has to improve as these lapse’s are costing us big time some 3-6 goals at a time! Massive game this week against Bayswater away but to win we need to improve between the ears. Thanks for all the support we got and to those who helped out on the day.

Senior Coaches Report
We traveled out to park Orchards after the weeks break keen to make amends for a poor 2nd half against Wantirna Sth. In the first quarter we were kicking against a stiff breeze and played some really good disciplined controlled football to restrict them to 3 goals while managing 1 ourselves. We started the 2nd quarter really well kicking the first 3 goals and pinching the lead only to disappointingly concede 4 of the next 5 goals. Still in striking distance at the main break we knew how poor our 3rd quarters had been and had spoken at length about rectifying that, unfortunately the trend continued and we were outscored 10 goals to nil I what was by far out worst quarter of footy for the season. The last quarter was much better but the damage has been done. Matt Gordon continued his good form as did Carson McCartney. Thanks to everyone who came out to watch us in cold windy conditions. We play Bayswater next week away which will be a big challenge for us, we hope to see you out there next week.
