After retiring Q took on the very important job of under 19s coach a job that he did for 4 years. There are so many young players currently at the club that have benefited from his leadership and experience and it shows each and every time one of them is elevated into the senior side.
After 17 years outstanding service as a player, senior captain, team runner, water boy, under 19’s coach and the countless hours of volunteer work at the club - James Quilty is a very worthy life member.
Graeme Elkins journey is somewhat different having been a very loyal servant of the club since the late Steve Lundberg was President of the club. In excess of 20 years as a member and volunteer of the club, Graham was the Barman for the Sporting Club over footy season for many years and MFC Cleaner - a role he still holds today.
A Match day volunteer in any way he can help, he is a crucial part of the successful team that runs the EFL finals each and every year. Graeme attends every home and away game without fail and is part of the Clubs furniture, so much so, that he performs his role often without much recognition.
Another very worthy life member for over 20 years Graeme Elkin has been and still is, one of the behind the scenes volunteers that helps The Mitcham Football club run on a day to day basis. #lifemember #tigerforlife#strongandbold
