Lilydale hasn’t been a happy hunting ground for us of late and Saturday’s game proved to more of the same, as both the Seniors and Reserves were out played by the falcons.
1st XVIII never really looked like it as Lilydale controlled the game. Parente with 2 majors was the leading goal scorer with Young Ben Joseph named best along with Glossop, R. Petracca, Bell, Taylor and Winterton. Congratulations to vice captain Jackson Glossop on his 100th senior game and Mikey Risky Raath on his Senior Debut taking the number of players to play SNRS this year to 41
2nd XVIII were in the game at Half time but an 8 goal to 1 second half saw the Falcons cruise to victory, Hoegel with 2 was the leading goal scorer with Wotton, Ward, Tsolos, Sciortino, Sloane and Finch all named in the best.

Reserves Coaches Report
Travelling to Lilydale with an under manned side was always going to be a difficult assignment, more injuries last week had us play a 3 more fill ins, thank you to Josh, Will and Lloydy. The first half saw us 2 goals behind at the break and we were playing reasonably well as our mids and ruck were going well, however the second half was a different story as Lilydale kicked away and we dropped right away, the last qtr was better but the boys were cooked as the last few weeks caught up with us. Our on ballers were galant all day Tsolos, Menz, Finch and Brad in the ruck, Tom B on the wing ran his heart out all day and Nicko down back was terrific seeing a lot of the footy in the second half. Thanks to all the supporters that came along, see at home next week.

Senior Coaches Report
This week we traveled out to Lilydale in a game we needed to win to keep our finals hopes alive. We brought in another first gamer this week with Mikey Raath earning his first senior game through some really good form in the reserves. Kicking with the aid of the breeze in the first quarter we had enough of the play but couldn't capitalize with some poor kicking going forward making life difficult for our forwards, Lilydale used the ball much better and held a 19 point lead at quarter time. In the 2nd quarter Lilydale got on top and luckily couldn't convert in front of goal taking a 32 point lead into half time. The 3rd quarter was much better for us as we won more of the ball around the contest and started to use the ball better around the ground, again we didn't get full advantage on the scoreboard coupled with conceding some lazy stoppage goals giving Lilydale a handy 40 point lead at 3/4 time. The last quarter was disappointing as they kicked away from us to run out comfortable 68 point winners. Congratulations to Jackson Glossop on 100 super games for the club, he gives his heart and soul every week and is a fantastic example to the rest of his team mates of how we need to go about our footy to be a more successful team. Thanks to all the supporters who came out this week to support us we hope to see you at home against Mulgrave this week.
