Season 2016 comes to an end for our Seniors and Reserves as we learned some valuable lessons about what we need to do to mix it with the big boys in 2017. Under 19s are still alive and play out at Boronia next Sunday in the First Semi would expect to see The Tiger army out in full force for a Sunday fix of Chum Footy. Well done to our netball Girls who are through to the Grand Final Friday night and will be looking to reverse the result of the first final as they chase premiership Success.
Commiserations to our under 15 girls who went down to FTG in the grand final last Sunday. The Girls may have been beaten but certainly not broken, as they played a team that’s been playing together for 4 years, great effort by our girls in their first season of footy. As for Junior Club they put on what could only be described as a magnificent Brownlow type event for the Under 15 Girls and under 17 Boys last Friday night and the Senior Club will also be running a similar event on Friday Night 16th September - Make sure you Check out booking details via the Senior Website and our face book page.
We may have nearly finished footy put our work is still not done as we host Division four finals, as always if you’re at a loose end the next two Saturdays we can always do with the help at the pre lim and Grand Final. Make sure you let Macca know your availability
The final round of the home and away season saw us taking on Wantirna Sth. Both sides had taken four points in the previous two encounters and this one was made even more interesting with the ladder settled and a finals match the following week between the same two sides. Once we regained our hearing from the Devils pre match rave party we were extremely keen to make sure we got a start. The game was extremely physical which we had come to expect from our previous encounters. Both sides played good hard footy and the scores were tight for most of the match with only two goals separating the two of us for the majority of the first three quarters. It was evident that neither side was too keen to show all their cards before Sunday but I was extremely happy with our output for the majority of the game. Josh Kable worked extremely hard with Mick Barro in the middle while Tom Lucas was the standout up forward. Our back six were solid all day as we have come to expect, with Benny Joseph continuing his superb form both in defence and further up
the ground. Josh Hopkins & Under 17's skipper Tommy Stingell were fantastic and didn't look out of place as they rejoined the 19's after their premiership success. Although we lost the match, I along with our other coaches are extremely confident we have what's required to take the all important points in this Sunday's elimination final at Boronia. Our boys have worked extremely hard this year to give themselves an opportunity to play finals and I have no doubt they will give everything to be successful this week! Important we get the Tiger Army on board to support the boys. As we have seen over the past few years, these boys are the future of the club and a bright future at that. Look forward to seeing you all at Boronia 10am Sunday for a big Tigers win!

Reserves Coaches Report
The year has come to an end on Saturday going down to Wanny Sth by 40 points, they are sitting second with only 2 losses for the season so we had a task ahead of us. The boys really cracked in and we were level all day going into the last qtr where they had a 4-5 goal breeze, unfortunately we just couldn't match their skills and they ran out the better on the day. Beags led from the front on the ball and was clearly our best, Nails again was super in the ruck, Louy kicked 4 and was our best forward. Matching it with them all day just showed we are not far away from the top sides our execution in close needs to improve as it makes a huge difference across four qtrs. To finish the season in 6th with 8 wins is pleasing considering all injuries etc..I couldn't be prouder of the boys as they gave it everything when it comes to endeavour and effort and they were a pleasure to Coach. Thank you to all that helped us this year, Dennis Foster Team Manager, Waz who ran the boundary, Lloydy my runner and Benny as my assistant. Thanks also to all the supporters who came each week to support us we all very much appreciate you all!

Senior Coaches Report
We played our last game of the season against Wantirna Sth, we knew we would be facing a desperate side as they had to win to ensure that they played finals. Kicking with the aid of a very strong breeze they came out of the blocks fast and blew the game wide open with a 10 goal to 1 first quarter. We showed some good periods of play throughout the rest of the day but could never get any sustained control finishing the season with a disappointing loss. Although we haven't had the season we would've liked there certainty has been plenty of positives with a number of players making their senior debuts throughout the year. Mitch Holzeimer, Adam Glanville and Tommy Blanche all made the jump from under 19's last year to playing senior footy this year and all showed that they have bright futures. Dylan Wylde also played his first senior game and acquitted himself well, while Jake Parente still eligible to play under 19's also played seniors when not required at Eastern Rangers. We played 36 players in the seniors throughout the season with only 1 player Jake Toohey one of our young recruits being the only player to suit up every week highlighting the unlucky run we had with injuries. We were able to learn some valuable lessons about what is required to be successful in division 2 and we will take those on board and improve going into next season. Thanks to Carl Barker, Manny DeBonno and Steve Jordan who all played valuable roles on match day and throughout the week, thanks to James Quilty for doing the running all season and for also his invaluable work with cutting up match footage for our reviews. To Brooke, Emily, Courtney and Gab who have been fantastic all season getting the boys out on the track and ready for match day thank you. Thanks to Macca, Dane and all the committee for their tireless work in making the club run so smoothly. Lastly and most importantly thanks to all the supporters who have stuck with us through a difficult season, we look forward to seeing you all back again next season.
