WOW, what a spectacular day for footy this week. The MCG of the East had come up a treat and the sun was shining on a perfect winter’s day. Unfortunately that’s about all we enjoyed, on a day when the old saying bad kicking, is bad football rang true. ALL three teams had more scoring shots than their opposition and all 3 teams lost. The seniors at one stage were 1 goal and 11 behinds and effectively kicked themselves out of the game. On a positive note we continue to blood some young guys who have shown there’s plenty to like about our future
Up Coming Events: The Players iPod Shuffle is NEXT WEEK which is always a hoot, the annual ball is only two weeks away and Tickets can still be booked though Michelle Lucas. UNDER 19s COACHES REPORT
The Under 19's played Mulgrave at home on Saturday and needed to win to restore some much needed confidence. Our inaccuracy in front of goal cost us during crucial times of the game. Although we were right in the contest throughout the entire match, we made too many mistakes that let Mulgrave stick with us and they managed to hit the front late in the last quarter taking the four points! Was an extremely frustrating game to be involved in due to circumstances outside our control. That being said we showed we are capable of playing some very good football, the key is to find some consistency. Although injuries again took a toll on our rotations, Tom Lucas, Roddy Arguello, Ryan Sullivan and Jules Rambaldo all played solid games with four quarter performances. We take on Mooroolbark away this week in what is an absolutely crucial game. Thanks to our supporters and staff who continue to support us through thick and thin! Hopefully your efforts will be rewarded over the coming weeks with some positive results.

RESERVES COACHES REPORT
On the on a cracker of day to play footy and needing a win to stay in touch with the four we were clearly outplayed by East Donny in what was a disappointing loss, our fist half once more was riddled with missed opportunities as they seamed to capitalise on our chances. Being 4 goals down at halftime we came out and played well in the third to dominate the qtr but 2 late goals to them saw them take their halftime lead into the last. Our work rate was too inconsistent as we battled hard showing effort and endeavour but it wasnt enough to go down by 3 goals in the end. Our skipper Beags was terrific all day so was Blanchy and Brad, new bloke Mick Mallick did a job all day on a dangerous player and was great shutting him out. Our best and worst footy is too far apart and at this level we are costing ourselves, getting on the track and improving is the only way forward. Thanks to our supporters who have been their all year for us.

SENIOR COACHES REPORT
This week we hosted Doncaster East, we were absolutely embarrassed last time we play against them so the challenge was there to make sure we didn't repeat that performance. We started the game well and played some good footy in the first quarter but unfortunately shot ourselves in the foot with some poor kicking at goal, we managed 1.10 for the first quarter. It was the same story for the rest of the game as we undid most of our good work upfield by missing some very kickable goals. To walk away kicking 9.23 is unacceptable and something that needs to be rectified immediately. On the positive side we did perform much better than we had against them earlier in the season and proved that we can mix it against a finals side. Cam Taylor was excellent with his breakaway speed, and Julz Petracca led from the front all day with his work rate and attack on the footy. Thanks to all the supporters who came out the watch us, we hope to see you all out at Bayswater this week and we take on the ladder leaders.
