Great to have ALL 3 Mitcham teams on the winners list this week. The under 19s played over at Waverley Blues for the second time this year and played 3 really good quarters of footy before having a little nap during the last. Ben Joseph led from the front with 3 goals as the boys ran out 38 point winners.
The Seniors and Reserves returned to a venue that holds fond memories for us in a must win game against an old foe that we haven’t played for a number of years in East Burwood - Both were never really troubled recording good wins.
Once again the reserves younger blokes stood up with Smith, Foster and Finch among the best. In the seniors Zac McCubbin impressed in his first game in tiger colours with Miles good in the middle as Hoegel and Pimm were among the goals. BIG SHOUT out to the East Burwood Folk for their excellent hospitality and we look forward to hosting you later in the year at the MCG of the East Walker Park
BIG week for the club next Saturday taking on the top of the table Mooroolbark @ home then it’s the clubs biggest fundraiser of the year with the comedy night later that evening in the St Johns function centre. We already have over 250 people booked, but there is still a couple of tickets available if your interested in going but you need to contact Macca ASAP
Under 19s Coaches Report
Was good to get another game of footy this week. With several clubs not fielding Under 19's sides it feels like we only get a game every few weeks, something that is frustrating for coaches and players when momentum and consistency has such an impact on our performances. We headed to Waverley Blues for the second time this year and started the game full of fire. Our mids were right on top from the start. Luke McKeown and Julz Rambaldo gave us first use from some really good work in the ruck from Tom DeKoning & Josh Kable. Our back six were solid all day but Ben Joseph stole the show even managing to kick a few goals up the other end! Sam Howell worked hard all day and gave our smaller forwards plenty of ball deep in our forward half. While we had a solid win it was extremely frustrating we couldn't finish it off with a four quarter performance. It has become evident that's what it will take to beat the higher sides. A wins a win so we take it and move on. Another bye this week so we will hit the track and keep working hard in prep for our next match. Well done to Winno, Jordy and their boys on two good wins over at East Burwood. 3 wins is always a great result for the club.

Reserves Coaches Report
Going back to a ground that holds great memories for us was just great, conditions were a bit ordinary as the showers came through just before the bounce and through the first qtr. We started reasonably well with a 2 goal lead at qtr time with what was a real contested game of footy. We held our own in the second as the rain came again as back six were terrific hold them off time after time, we were 3 goals up at the main break. They came at us early in the 3rd with a couple of goals as their on ballers got first use, we did comeback late in the term with a couple of goals to lead by 3 majors heading into the last. The boy’s effort was very good in the last to come away with a 4 goal win. Beags, Dylan Wylde and our forward targets Jack Lewis and Jake Parente who both played their first games for the club were super all day with Brad and Jake kicking 2 each. Getting the win puts us 4 and 3 with a huge game this week against Mooroolbark who are on the same wins. Thanks to all the supporters who came down the boys very much appreciate the Tiger army.
Senior Coaches report
It had been a LONG 2 weeks for us since our last game, we had spoken a lot about how our last effort wasn't good enough and how we wouldn't accept that kind of performance again. To the groups credit we showed from the first bounce that we were keen to make amends and get back to playing our brand of footy. Our attack on the footy was really good and we were able to move the ball in a much more attacking way than we had in previous weeks. It was also pleasing to see us getting back to tackling with some real intent. Another pleasing aspect of the game was despite playing with a limited bench in the 2nd half we were able to put together and good strong 4 quarter performance. "Tugga" Miles led the way with his attack on the footy all day, Zac McCubbin in his first game for the club showed what a quality addition he will be for us and DJ led from the front in a strong defensive effort from our back 6. Thanks to all the supporters who came out in cold conditions and the under 19s who returned from Waverley to support the seniors hopefully we see you all at our first home game for a couple of weeks.
