The Tiger spirit is alive and well after a gusty come from behind win against the highly fancied Bayswater Football Club this week. Trailing by 4 goals at ¾ time The coach Neil Winterton lead from the front ably assisted with some last quarter goal kicking heroics from Jayke Murray to help snatch a 5 point victory.
Unfortunately the reserves got over ran in the last quarter to get beaten but their effort couldn’t be questioned while the under 19s had a bye.
NEXT WEEK we look forward to seeing the Tiger army out and about at East Doncaster with the under 19s playing at Croydon in the morning #strongandbold‬

Reserves Coaches Report
Walker Park put on a beautiful day this week with summer like conditions, we were up against another quality team who had 3 wins from their 4 games thus far. Numbers again due to injury were tested however we managed to get 4 U19's to come up and play which was great. We knew we had to start well and we did with score pretty even in the 1st and 2nd qtrs, our intent was to be 1st in and the boys endeavour was very good. We didn't capitalise in the 3rd kicking with the wind and we went into the last 3 goals down. We spoke about putting in a four qtr effort and we knew it was going a tough last term, Bayswater to their credit came out and kicked 3 goals in 6 minutes to make our task even harder, unfortunately the boys couldn't stop their run or pressure and we succumbed to a 10 gaol qtr. We were very disappointed with how we finished as we pretty much stopped our run and accountability that had been good through out the game. I didn't sugar coat anything after the game as it wasn't acceptable to put up a last qtr effort like that. Georgey up from 19's was terrific with good run and a hard body, Danger Glanville again produced good form kicking 4 from his limited opportunities and Biggy also continues to improve each week in the ruck. Lots to work on as we head to East Doncaster this week, I'm expecting our boys to bounce back, thanks to Gerogy, Danny, Julz and Sully for helping us out.
Senior Coaches Report
This week we came up against a quality Bayswater side who played finals last year. We knew it would be a hard contested game and so it proved to be. We kicked against the breeze in the first quarter and despite the fact we got let off the hook with them missing some kickable shots we did well to hold a 9 point lead. The 2nd quarter was very even and with both sides kicking 3.3 for the quarter. We knew the 3rd quarter would be crucial for us unfortunately we were unable to control the tempo of the game and they were able to hit the scoreboard and skip out to a 25 point lead at 3/4 time. The last quarter really showed the fighting spirit that the group possess. A number of times it looked like the game was beyond our reach but the boys never gave in a were able to kick 3 goals in the last 5-6 minutes to come away with a stirring 5 point win. Tyson McKenzie in his first game back from injury was fantastic in the clinches and kicked 3 important goals including the match winner and Jayke Murray was huge in the last quarter with 2 big goals from the boundary. Thanks to all the supporters who came down and made it a great atmosphere to play in, we hope to see you all out at Doncaster East next week.
