The Mitcham Football Club are pleased to unveil our latest two signings for Season 2016.
With several departures over the off season the club has worked extremely hard to make sure the 2016 list can be extremely competitive in Division 2 and the years beyond. As you would have seen over the last few months the club has added some extremely talented recruits and these latest addition are no exception.

The Tigers welcomes 24 year old Steve Naylor to the club. Steve originally played Division 1 football for Scoresby and then for Whitehorse Pioneers in 2015. After starting out as a ruckman and forward, Steve has recently found himself as a key backman. Adding a solid defender with a big strong body was high on the priority list for the football department. Steve brings an extremely positive attitude with his football, willing to take on any challenge thrown at him.

Another key addition to the list comes in the form of 24 year old Tom Miles. At the tender age of just 16, Miles played for Waverley Blues where he was named BOG in their 2008 Division 3 Grand Final win and also received the Leader Young Gun award. In 2012 Tom moved to VFL side Box Hill where he was named captain of the development squad. In 2013 he was runner up in the best and fairest before taking out the main award in 2014. In 2015 Miles moved accross to VFL side Coburg where he made his senior debut. A hard working, hard hitting and not to mention very skillful midfielder who will compliment what was already a very handy on ball brigade.

Club president Matt McCubbin said "the club has worked extremely hard over the pre season to replace our recent departures. It was extremely important that we recruited the right players and more importantly the right people for our club moving forward. We have been lucky enough to add some very talented recruits, who we identify as long term prospects for the club heading into the future. Neil & Jordy have been fantastic in what has been a frustrating pre season after premiership success, but as a club we are confident the list we have put together will get the job done."
The club wishes Steve and Tom all the best for what should be another exciting season for the Tigers.
Keep checking the clubs facebook account for further list updates in the coming weeks.
