2nd last home and away game this week and we welcomed The Upper Gully boys to Tiger Town. The under 19s had the task of trying to reverse the result of when they played upper earlier in the year and at half time looked like it would be worse this time around. BUT to our young fellas credit they battled away in the second half and showed enough to suggest there not quite a spend force this year. The reserves had the luxury of having Whitchell and Pimm (returning from injury) up forward and didn’t disappoint with 11 goals between them although Pimmy's radar was a little off booting 3 - 10 as we run out 97 point winners
The seniors was a torrid affair and our up and down form continued giving upper the early advantage as we had to battle hard to get the points. Great to see Cross return after a few weeks on the side lines with the Skipper Witta and the Coach Winno in the best. NEXT WEEKS game @ Home against Ringwood for the Pimm Cup Shapes as a beauty with Ringwood needing the win to guarantee a finals berth in the seniors while the reserves is a battle for top spot.
DON’T FORGET The Reverse Draw is also NEXT Saturday night 15th of August always a great event to round out the home and away season see Macca for tickets.
FIRST BIG Tiger call of the year goes out as we round up the Tiger army to get Out n Bout NEXT Sunday at Ferntree Gully Reserve, Glenfern Road, Ferntree Gully 10.30am start to support the under 12s in the Grand Final as they chase the first Tiger Premiership of the year. Mark Ross and his young charges have been fantastic this year, only losing one game and once again it would be great to see the tiger army out in force

Under 19s Coaches Report
It was another tough challenge against Upper FTG on the weekend. It was always going to take a huge effort to upset the side who in my opinion are the best side in Division 3 this season. Having several of our key players out meant some of the other blokes needed to step up their work rate and intensity. The first quarter was not too bad although we didn't make the most of our opportunities with several forward entries resulting in minor scores. Upper were faster stronger and more committed to winning the footy in the second and third quarters but our boys wasn't some respect back in the last quarter. Special mentions to Tom Blanche, Michael Downes and Ben Joseph who all played terrific games! The key lesson we take out of that match is the importance of holding structure and having faith in our ability and our game plan. We now look ahead to Templestowe at home this week and then an elimination final v Templestowe the first week of finals. Extremely important to get back on the winners list this Saturday in order to take some much needed confidence into our finals campaign. Look forward to seeing you all for our last home game of 2015. Congrats to the Seniors and Reserves on fantastic wins on Saturday. Great to see some of last years Under 19's having such a big impact on the park in both sides.

Reserves Coaches Report
Great to get the win on Saturday against the 3rd place side, our four qtr effort was too much for them as we continued to play with confidence, our ability to use the footy well and our run saw us convert our opportunities to win by 97points. Whitchy once again was terrific kicking 7 and having Pimmy in the side was also great he kicked 3. But it was our on ballers lead by skipper Beags, Bluey and Menzies that saw us first over the footy at the contest. The half back line rebounded all day with Tayles, Emmo and Ruddy to strong, Toddy played his 100th game and was super. We now play for top spot this week against Ringwood who are in good form, the boys can't wait! Thank you to all our supporters for being there and showing their loyalty once again.

Senior Coaches Report
We came up against upper gully this week in a game that we knew would be a good finals like hit out for us. Unfortunately we got off to a horrible start and were 5 goals down 12 minutes into the game. We managed to wrestle back some control after that with out contested ball and tackling efforts lifting to a much more acceptable level and had reduced the margin to 11 points at quarter time. We got on top with some good footy in the 2nd quarter, using the ball well and keeping up our intensity around the footy and went into half time with a 7 point lead. The third quarter was a very even contest with both sides playing some good finals like footy, at the last break we held a 6 point lead. After conceding the lead early in the quarter we really dug deep to grind out a good tough win against a quality opponent. Witta continued his super year leading from the front and Jayke Murray kept us in the game early on with his strong hands and super forward pressure. We have 1 game left against Ringwood who sewed up their finals spot and are playing as good as anyone at the moment so it should be a really tough hit out for us. Thanks to everyone who came along we look forward to seeing you all at our last home game for the season
