Wintery conditions greeted the Tigers away this week at Whitehorse Pioneers. The under 19s were coming off the bye and for the first half looked like they were still on the bye but a 10 goal final quarter had them running out 64 point winners. The Reserves were never really troubled and again their defence stood tall conceding just one goal as they ran out 105 point winners. The Seniors winning streak stretched to 13 with a comfortable 87 point win. A BIG thank you to the Whitehorse folk for their hospitality and good luck for the remainder of the season.
NEXT WEEK we take on Sth Belgrave @ Sth Belgrave in danger games for all three sides nothing short of 100% will get the job done GOOD LUCK ALL #neverbeenabettertimetobeatiger

Under 19s Coaches Report
This week we were coming off the bye to play Whitehorse which hasn’t worked in our favour previous times this season. Whitehorse for one of the bottom teams were extremely impressive for the first three quarters holding to their structures and playing good team footy. Our boys blazed away on what was a small ground and wasted opportunities with less than acceptable delivery to our forwards. Several players were asked to play in roles they are far from comfortable or familiar with to enable us to get our work rate back up to scratch. At half time the coaches asked our players to respect their opposition around the stoppages and to use the footy to our advantage when going forward. To their credit the boys lifted in the second half and managed to storm home with a ten goal last quarter. Mick Barro went from full back to full forward and slotted four goals to help get us going. Ryan Sullivan, Nathan Foster, Toby Ward, Lachie George and Adam Glanville all contributed with their hard work on the ball and up forward. With the list looking a little more consistent with players returning from injuries the boys should be excited about the remaining games. We have a huge opportunity to cement ourselves in the final five and look to push into the top three if we play the footy we know they are capable of. Congratulations to the Senior and Reserves on fantastic wins, both sides sitting nicely on top of their respective ladders. A big thank-you to our supporters who braved the cold and windy conditions yet again to support our boys. Look forward to seeing everyone at Sth Belgrave where we face yet another important challenge.

Reserves Coaches Report
Playing away this week on a cold day we were lucky that the wether held off for the most part to see us have a win by well over 100 points, it was also our skippers Matt Beagley's 150th with the boys showing him the respect he deserves with a solid 4 qtr performance. Our starts this year has been something we are keen to improve albeit that the last couple of weeks they have been better, Saturday was further proof with a 6 goal qtr, we continued on each qtr to post 25 goals for the game. There were a number of good efforts this week too many to mention but Chris Whitchell kicked 7 and Jayke Murray were outstanding. This result means 10 wins for the year which is good but with 5 rounds left and 2 other sides on 10 as well we can't afford not to keep performing. Huge test this week up at South Belgrave and one we can't wait for, a big thank you to all our supporters this week coming out in such cold conditions and congratulations to Lou Marro who played his 100th game also.

Senior Coaches Report
This week we travelled out to Whitehorse under very threatening skies, luckily for the senior side the rain arrived before our game and we were able to get through the match unscathed albeit on a slippery service. Our first quarter was outstanding, our pressure was up, we used the ball well, our forward line was open and our backs hardly let anything pass them. We had opened up a 9 goal lead by quarter time. In the 2nd quarter we again controlled the play but due to Whitehorse throwing some numbers behind the footy and our scrappy kicking going forward we couldn't get full reward as we kicked 4.5 to 1 goal for the quarter. The 3rd quarter started well as we kicked the first 2 goals and looked full of running, unfortunately we took the foot of the gas and started playing millionaire football and forgot to keep respecting our opponent. We were out scored 6.3 to 5.2 for the quarter which included some very poor work at inside defensive 50 stoppages. Our last quarter was much better and we ended up winning by a comfortable 87 points. Jayden Hoegel made a great return booting 5 goals in 3 quarters and Lucas Marro in his 100th game for the club was also very good adding 3 goals. Thanks to all the supporters who came out in the cold conditions for the 2nd week in a row. A big challenge presents itself this week against an inform and desperate Belgrave Sth hopefully we see you all there again for some much appreciated support.
