The Mitcham Football Club is again saddened at the loss of another true tiger and esteemed life member - Ronnie Cousins on Thursday night the 3rd of December 2013.
Ronnie was of course a legend of the MFC and one of the real characters of the club. Over the coming days you will hear many a story about Ronnie including is absolute dislike for all things Vermont, none more famous than about 10 years ago when Mitcham beat the Eagles in a semi-final, after the game Ronnie decided to go and tell the Vermont players to go forth and multiply, fortunately for Ronnie a Mitcham supporter was able to drag him away from the big Vermont ruckman that was heading his way. He also had the odd run in with local council including the day he took down all the goal posts or when he took it upon himself to dig a big hole on the members wing to fix the wet spot – All very funny stuff, but as Senior President Matt McCubbin said yesterday Words can't explain the impact Ronnie Cousins has had on The Mitcham Footy Club and everyone involved, His Memory will live on forever!!
Rest in Peace Ronnie by God you have earned it
