The Mitcham Senior Football Club celebrated an outstanding year holding its annual Presentation and best n fairest night last week. The night opened with the announcement that Senior Coach Scott Homewood will again coach the club and premiership winning Reserves Coach Aaron Smith will continue on in his role again next season while Joint Senior club captain James Quilty will again coach the under 19s in 2014.
All three of these guys have had tremendous seasons and have helped put the Mitcham Football Club in a great position going forward.
The senior Best and Fairest was won by Steve Pimm and Jackson Glossop who tied poling 77 votes each to take out the clubs top award. Pimmy and Jacko are more than just footballers of the Mitcham Football club, Both have built up quite a repore with the Junior club where it’s not un common to see a large group of juniors going end to end with Pimmy during the senior game and there’s always plenty of encouragement for Jacko who is a regular at Junior training every Friday night.
The result certainly reflects the direction the footy club is going with the old and the new and along with a host of other award winners the Mitcham Football Club is priming itself to continue its climb up the ladder in 2014
