Subject: Urgent - Support Required
Dear Player, Family Member or Supporter
It is our firm conviction that in addition to the family, well run sporting clubs, boy scouts, girl guides, dance schools etc form the ‘glue’ to society. Our clear aim & highest priority at the Olinda Ferny Creek Football Netball Club is for the development of & support for our younger players (on & off the field). We believe they are the future of our club & it is our clear responsibility to continue the excellent work of our Junior Club.
Since implementing this policy in 2008 we have seen many players return to the club & team morale as well enthusiasm continue to improve & strengthen, which indicates that we are well on track to make our club the healthy social hub we are aiming for.
And now we need your help! There are still a number of positions to fill for season 2009, so if you would like to know more, here is your opportunity to get involved & have fun! These positions include:- Team Managers, Time Keepers, Umpires (football & netball), runners, water carriers, canteen workers etc.
If you are interested in lending a hand please contact Chriss Riddiford on 0410 440 463 or Bruce Lowery on 0413 830 930.
Also you may be aware that one of the Oxfam Walk rest stations will be at the Olinda Reserve, & that up to 5,000 walkers are expected to stop at that location between 5pm & midnight on Friday 27th March. Our club will be providing refreshments (tea, coffee, soup & barbeque) during this time. We are therefore looking for volunteers to help out for no more than 90 minutes. If you would like to get involved please contact our club Secretary Tim Scott on 0408 104 202. This activity is supporting a most worthwhile cause as well as assisting with our own club’s finances.
If our club is to continue to grow & prosper it is imperative that we have community support. We look forward to hearing from you!
Best Regards
OFCFNC Sports Management Group
