Life Membership GFC - 1980
Rofee as he was affectionately known, was a little rover who first started playing with the club in the late 66’s with his 200th club game and subsequent Life Membership awarded in 1980. Rofee was renowned for getting under the skin of his opponents with his cheek, but was a great exponent of the stab kick and later in his career the drop punt. Full forwards such as Peter “Pud” North and Jeff “Skippy” Domaille would lead to Rofee when he had the ball knowing he would hit there chest with his pass. When Rofee's playing career finished he had played about 260 games for the club with over 200 of those in the Senior team. Rofee took up running for the club after finishing as a player, and did the running for the 1982 Senior Premiership team and the 1981 & 83 Reserve Premiership teams.
