VOLUNTEER OF THE WEEK WINNER:
KIM CAMPBELL-COWLING
Congratulations to Kim for being the worthy winner this week for the central Victorian Region Volunteer of the Week Award.
Listed below are the tasks that Kim performs for our club.
Huntly Football Netball Club
- Committee member
- Organizes the club’s apparel (orders and sells).
- Match Day Canteen - Organizes and works all day from 8.30am till 5.00pm.
- Thursday night meals - Organizes and cooks for approximately 80 people after every Thursday night training.
- Organizes and cooks for all Club functions (including sponsors day luncheon and after home game meals).
- Kim was awarded the club’s prestigious “Club Person of the Year” award in 2013 for her dedicated and tireless work that season.
- As a Player – Kim played netball for the club from 1995 till 1999 and was an integral part of the 1998 “A Reserve” Premiership team as their Goal Shooter. She was a very accurate goaler and instrumental in their success. Kim left the club in 2001 as her husband, Heath, was appointed Senior Coach of the Calivil United Football Club. She returned to Huntly in 2005 and played netball for a further four seasons before retiring at the end of the 2008 season. In all she played a total of 160 games for the club.
In addition to the work at the senior club, Kim also is the Treasurer for the Huntly Junior Football Club where she also organises the junior clubs apparel and works and organises the match day canteen
Kim’s contribution to both the senior and junior club’s is invaluable. She is totally dedicated to making both club’s successful on and off the field and we value her contribution immensely. Congratulations Kim, you are a worthy recipient of the “Volunteer of the Week” award for the Huntly Football Netball Club.
