Lauren Pryde played her 200th game last weekend for the Kyabram Bombers. Lauren has been an integral part of the Kyabram Bombers for 9 seasons. She joined the club in 2006 as a 15 year old in the U/17’s where she played in her first premiership. Lauren joined the A grade team the following season and has played A grade ever since, but has had a two year break in 2013/2014 to complete a Grad year in Nursing in Newcastle where she was greatly missed by her teammates.
Lauren has achieved a lot in the 9 seasons she has played at the Bombers, including four A Grade premierships (2008, 2011, 2012 and 2016) and been a Goulburn Valley Netball League representative on numerous occasions including an Association Championship win with the Interleague team in 2012.
Lauren is the captain of our A grade team and displays great leadership skills on and off the court. She is an unassuming player who doesn’t get anywhere near enough credit for the work she does in GK – her talk, constant encouragement, ability to read the play and cause multiple turnovers, not only earned her the nickname, “The Hunter” but are also important aspects of her game that have allowed us to be so successful throughout the years.
Lauren is having another great season this year with a group of girls that are not only her teammates but great friends.
Congratulations Lauren on reaching an incredible milestone in 200 games. We are very lucky to have you apart of our team and the Kyabram Football Netball Club.
