Greetings to all our sponsors on round 7.
Before we start the report you all need to know that the BAR IS OPEN on a Thursday night. Beer on tap with Kelly Carroll Barkeep. Meals are $5 and a good night will be had by all.
This week-end we take on Lucknow at Lucknow.
The Seagulls swooped on the Cats last Saturday, particularly on the football field, collecting four wins from four matches.
The netballers had a more difficult day, however "C" and "D" grade claimed victories and "B" grade managed a draw in the grand final rematch.
The senior footballers were clinical, unstoppable in the second quarter before giving up a handy lead and having to fight tooth and nail to claim a 11-point win. Skinny thrived in the ruck and Stevo slotted five.
The twos shrugged off a sluggish start to win by 74 points. Rowda booted seven goals and Marty had it on a string. Good to see Candy Man back in action.
The thirds were impressive, winning by 33 points. Under 16 stars Jesse Guarnaccia and Tyson Harrison kicked two each along with K-Mac and Big G. Daisy and Sammy Richo racked up the touches across half back.
The under 16s remain undefeated after a thumping 144-point win. Harvs kicked six, while Todd Brendan and Jarrod kicked four each. Alex Smith played his best game.
Tambo Waste "A" grade was beaten by 26, however Sam Beha impressed in the unfamiliar role at goal attack.
Betta Home Living "B" grade may have only got two points, but remains on top of the ladder. Brooke Dyer and Lindy Bills continued their great start to the season.
Barling Family "C" grade was at its best as it won by 14 goals. Fiona Yates played well with a crook back and defender Michalla Radford was solid.
An injury ravaged Rivex "C" Reserve went down by 18, with Pariss McKendry and Holly Bowden trying hard.
Greg Dear Accounting "D" grade collected its third win by 12 goals. Mia Fountain, Billie Moorhouse and Zoe Carr were the best.
Today we head to the Magpies' Nest to meet Lucknow and it should be another tough day at the office.
Back to the Kalimna for awards tonight starting at 7pm.

The word of the coach.
Our first half was exceptional. Ball movement was just as we had trained. Quick, long and precise. The player movement was very slick. We went into half time 7 goals up with the boys in a positive frame of mind.
Lou Battista (assistant coach) pulled out an interesting stat which I used at half time. We have not won a third quarter since round 15 last year. IT WAS NO DIFFERENT! We once again let a quality side back into the game when we were in complete control. To a certain extent I put this down to fitness.
Finally we were able to steady and come away with a good win, a lot of positives but also a lot of work still to do.
This week on the track it has been tough, getting more into our boys legs to run games out.
Changes are:
OUT: Bency (suspended for 2 weeks for striking) Will Bushby ( finger) Matt Dalton (knee) Mick Battista ( hamstring) Daniel Lancaster (omitted)
IN:
Jim Beha (back from spotswood for the week), Lyle Berry ( a legend from Heyfield and the beha boys uncle) Lachlan Buck ( on holiday ), John Hooper, Ben Crittenden.
This week we play Lucknow (there) they had a powerful win against Orbost so it’s not an easy proposition.
GO SEAGULLS.
