As we are all currently confined to home, we have a few ideas for the kids to keep their fitness and skills up. A footy and a sibling or parent is all that is required.
Skills
Equipment – Football + partner (Grab Mum / Dad / Brother / Sister / Neighbor / Friend) or Green recycling bin. If you don’t have someone to play with then grab your green bin and handball / kick at that.
100 touches
Standing 2 meters apart
1. 20 handballs on right hand
2. 20 handballs on left hand
Stand 15 m apart
3. 20 Kicks on right foot
4. 20 kicks on left foot
Roll / Overhead mark
5. 10 x Ground ball pick ups – Get your partner to roll you the ball along the ground. Pick up and hand ball back or place the ball on the ground, run at full pace pick it up and handball at bin.
6. 10 x Overhead marks – Get your partner to throw the ball in the air, jump up and take a mark overhead. Or throw the ball up in the air yourself and mark overhead.
Football Juggle – Try to juggle the football with your feet by kicking it up and keeping it off the ground. Try and do 6 kicks without it touching the ground.
Fitness / Strength.
Equipment – 10-15 meters of grass + body weight.
