This week’s After Match is one of the highlights of the year with the presentation of the Anzac Medals - in recognition of the ANZACs and Anzac Day. Anzac Medals are awarded to the player in each team this round that best exemplifies the ANZAC spirit such as courage, self-sacrifice, teamwork, fair play and skill.
The Anzac Medals will be presented to each winner at After Match. Once again the Premier, the Honourable Daniel Andrews, will be in attendance to present the medals; along with local Monash Councillor, Micaela Drieberg and Labor Candidate for Bruce, Julian Hill.
We will also be presenting our 4 Under 9 teams (Brown, Girls, Gold, and White) up on stage to welcome them and their families to the club.
Food and drink is available and players are encouraged to bring along their footy to have a kick under the lights. It is a great opportunity to get to get to know the families of your child's team, as well as other members of the club in a social environment.
Your hard working committee will be hosting this week's After Match with the Great Aussie BBQ on the menu.
After Match is at the Columbia Park clubrooms from 5.30pm on Sunday with presentations beginning at 6.15pm.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Don't Forget the Weekly Prize Draw
Each week there is a weekly draw at After Match. All registered playing members of the club go into a draw each week for a prize. This week's prize is a 2015 signed Hawthorn jumper. Entry is free but the prize winner needs to be there on the night to collect the prize. If the prize winner is not in attendance the prize carries over to the next After Match.
Good luck to everyone!
