Bright and early Sunday morning the boys heading down to play in their first grand final since under 11's. A mixture of excitement and nerves surrounded the boys as they began to embark on the massive challenge that stood in front of them. We were up against Ormond who had been the best team all year, and had our measure in both encounters we had with them. But, as everyone knows anything can happen in a grand final!
Unfortunately for us, it went the wrong way. The boys just failed to get out of the blocks and ended up trailing Ormond for the whole game. We finished the game much better than we started but it was too little too late. The only disappointing thing about the day was that we didn't put in the effort we had showed throughout the year, and it clearly showed come the final siren.
Regardless of the result I am very proud of how far the boys have come, and the fact that they were able to make the grand final is a testament to how hard they worked this year. I believe there’s only one direction for us to keep moving now and that is up. Hopefully the boys are all feeling very positive and excited as I am about the new challenge that awaits us in season 2016!

What a buzz to be playing in a grand final, we were playing our arch rivals Ajax for the ultimate prize, unfortunately the boys just didn’t bring their A game today, we may have played our Grand Final the week before against Dingley. After getting jumped in the first quarter we well and truly matched it with Ajax in the 2nd quarter both kicking three goals, unfortunately we gave our goals up a little too easily where as we were made to work for ours a little more. The third quarter started well however we were unlucky to miss a couple of gettable shots in the first few minutes which would have brought us back into the game. From there unfortunately Ajax kicked the next five goals of the quarter and the game was over at three quarter time. To the boys credit they fought terribly hard and kicked 1 goal 6 behinds. The eight goal margin did not reflect the fight that the boys put up all day. …. Well done on an outstanding year boys you made me and all of your parents very proud this year.
