GCJBL Registration Information

Welcome to the 2022 GCJBL Winter Season with Pacific Pines Panthers Basketball Club, please read ALL Information below before Registering your Child/ren.

The Gold Coast Junior Basketball league (GCJBL) is the Premier Gold Coast Junior Basketball Competition.

The League consists of 13 clubs: Burleigh Blades, Gold Coast Celtics, Heat Basketball Club, PBC Magpies, Northern Nets, Pacific Pines Panthers, Somerset Spartans, (Somerset College students only) TSS Suns, (TSS students only) Southern Coast Slammers, Varsity Vipers., Kings Basketball Club (Kings Christian College students only), Central Stars, Lindisfarne Lions (Lindisfarne College students only).

 

Competitions are run for boys in the U9,11,13,15,17 and 20 age groups and U9,11,13,15 and Open Girls (U13-U20).

The purpose of the GCJBL is to provide a competition pathway for junior basketball players on the Gold Coast.

The season includes: Four grading rounds, 14 regular season competition rounds, semis (top 4 teams in each competition only) and finals (Winners of the semi finals only)

 

GCJBL Venues

The GCJBL will predominantly be played at the Gold Coast Sports & Leisure Centre at Carrara, we will also be utilising Tallebudgera Rec Centre and Somerset College on occasion.

Wednesday Nights – 6.00-10.00pm

U13 Boys – All Divisions  (Born 2010-2011)

U13 Girls – All Divisions  (Born 2010-2011)

U15 Boys – All Divisions  (Born 2008-2009)

U15 Girls – All Divisions  (Born 2008-2009)

U17 Boys Division 2,3,4   (Born 2006-2007)

 

Saturday Mornings 9.00-1.30pm

U9 Mixed – All Divisions  (Born 2014 or younger)

U11 Boys – All Divisions (Born 2012-2013)

U11 Girls – All Divisions (Born 2012-2013)

*These costs include the GC/BQ Registration Fees explained in the next paragraph.

 

2022 Gold Coast Basketball and Basketball Queensland Registration Information

All players must be registered with Gold Coast Basketball and Basketball Queensland to be eligible to participate in the 2022 GCJBL competition. The registration period for each product last for 365 days.

Breakdown of GC/BQ Registration Fees:

Players aged 10 years and older

Basketball Queensland Registration Fee          $72.84

Gold Coast Basketball Registration Fee           $63.60

 

Total                                                              $130.00

 

Players aged under 10 years

Basketball Queensland Registration Fee          $36.42

Gold Coast Basketball Registration Fee            $43.58

 

Total                                                              $80.00

 

Uniform Information

New players will NEED to purchase a uniform - No Uniform, No Play.  

If you select a new uniform in registration, you will be sent a link to order your uniform online.

Gold Coast Basketball Representative Season:

To represent Gold Coast Basketball in the SQJBC season; all players must participate in 50% of the 2022 Winter Season games to be eligible to Trial. Summer league is NOT an eligible competition.

2021/2022 Representative Season – All players must play 50% of games in the 2022 GCJBL Winter season

U16/U18/U21

2022/2023 Representative Season - All players must play 50% of games in the 2022 GCJBL Winter season

REGISTRATIONS FOR WINTER SEASON 2022 WILL CLOSE ON THE 3RD FEBRUARY 2022

 

We will only allocate 25 teams to nominate for the Winter Season 2022.  This means we will only have a certain amount of players that will be selected for the season. 

Only the players selected in a team will be able to register for Winter Season 2022.
