Although going down 1 nil against the run of play in a must win game against a well-coached and disciplined Bowral side, the Yerrinbool team rallied in the 2nd half and scored 2 well deserved goals to record their first win of the day. Alex Smith showed that after a season away from the game he is going to be a handful for any opposition scoring the winning goal and setting one up for Trevor Dinham whom calmly slotted away the equaliser.
The second game of the day ended up in a 2 nil victory against Moss Vale. A great goal to Jacob Cameron and a penalty from Daniel Bowden was enough to split the teams. The game could have ended a little closer if it was not for the heroics of Drew Cameron in goals whom made an incredible succession of saves late in the game.
The victory against Moss Vale was enough to secure a spot in the final and gives the club a chance to hold onto the prestigious cup that it last won in 2019.
A huge thank you and congratulations goes out to Josh Easter, Chris Cefia and Henry Morris. Three future stars of the club whom are currently a big part of our youth grade system(and others of course). Kyle Andrews also confirmed his ability and made a massive claim for a full time spot in 1st grade.
