URGENT NOTICE: BACT Notice - ACT Lockdown

The ACT Government has recently made an announcement that the ACT is going into mandatory lockdown for the next 7 days from 5:00pm Thursday 12th August 2021, due to an active COVID case within the community.

This means that all club basketball activities including trainings and games will cease effective immediately until further notice including Basketball ACT (BACT) competitions scheduled for this weekend.

Please see the attached notice from BACT.

I urge that all members follow the directive of the ACT Government and ACT Health. As this confirmed case has been active in the community since Sunday morning, please ensure that you keep monitoring the exposure sites on the COVID ACT website: https://www.covid19.act.gov.au

We have all seen how quickly this can spread and the impact it has had on our neighbouring state in NSW. Please do not think that the rules do not apply to you. Please monitor your symptoms and act accordingly. We have been extremely lucky in the ACT and we all need to ensure we do our part to keep this community safe.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
