Canberra Juniors Shine Once Again
Not for the first time, the ACT Junior officials have attended the Southern Junior League (SJL) Finals round with each and every one of them returned home with a gold medal hanging around their necks.
This year saw 10 referees selected to represent Canberra including a number of referees who were attending SJL for the first time plus a number of veterans return to strive for the gold medal matches.
Canberra was represented well across all age groups with at least one representative on every age group. Below is a list of referees who were asked to attend SJL Finals and what Grand Finals they were appointed to:
Mitchell Hudson (Under 18 Men)
James McNally (Under 16 Women Div 1)
Ethan Tulk (Under 16 Women Div 2)
Ally O’Toole (Under 16 Women Div 2)
Jayden Edwards (Under 14 Men Div 1)
Liam Krogh-Neumann (Under 14 Women Div 1)
Kynan Tulk (Under 12 Women Div 1)
Justin Archer (Under 12 Women Div 1)
Lachlan Gallagher (Under 12 Men Div 2)
Matt Norton (Under 12 Women Div 2)
Our junior referees were not only on show at SJL, we were also on show at NSW Country Premier League (CPL) where Samantha de Graaf, Mitchell Hudson and Micayla Helson represented the ACT at the CPL Finals round. Again we were successful in receiving Gold Medal matches with Micayla Helson and Mitchell Hudson being appointed to the Under 18 Womens and Under 14 Mens Grand Finals respectively.
