A big hello to all Dodgers players and families! We hope you have enjoyed the first weeks of the Summer season of basketball - here are a few updates for you below.

Uniform update

Our uniform store will be open at the following times on Sunday and Monday for families needing to pick up their new uniform orders from August and early September (they arrived this week in Canberra).

Saturday morning Junior Development Program

It has been great to see so many junior ballers coming along to our Saturday morning Junior Development Program!

See our Facebook page for some short videos showcasing the type of training we are offering.

There are some (limited) places left in both our older and younger sessions, so if your junior player is keen to try out this popular program, feel free to come along and find out why it has become a must-attend additional weekly training opportunity!

We are particularly keen to encourage more of our Dodgers female players to come along to these sessions.

Stay cool during the Summer comp!

Review our codes of conduct and ethics

While we are welcoming back many of our long-term players and families for the season, we are also excited to be welcoming a substantial number of junior players who are new to the Dodgers family. We hope you enjoy your time playing in our colours!

Given the many new players and families joining our Club, we wanted to take this opportunity to outline our codes of conduct for coaches, players and parents.

Please take the time to review these policies (including with your junior ballers) to ensure the Summer season is a positive and fun one with respect for all, and that we continue the Dodgers tradition of being great sports both on and off the court!

Dodgers policies are aligned with and support those of Basketball ACT.

Please see our code of conduct and ethics policies below:

Parents code of conduct and ethics

Players code of conduct and ethics

Communications with Basketball ACT

A reminder to please communicate incidents / concerns via the Club

A reminder that, with regard to incidents or concerns that need to be communicated to Basketball ACT, please be aware that all contact needs to come from the Club (rather than coaches / managers / parents). In the first instance please contact our Registrar, Sean, at email wcwdbasketball[at]gmail.com to discuss the incident / concern.

Have a great Summer season everyone, and we look forward to seeing you at the courts!

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
