Looking To Play Junior Basketball in Geelong?
The Sharks Basketball Club is always happy to welcome new members.
We have teams in most age groups playing in the Geelong United domestic competition and we are sure that we can find a team for you to play in, that is matched to your ability.
Junior completions are played on Monday through to Saturday, depending on your age group, as follows:
Monday: U14 Boys & U12 Boys Div1
Tuesday: U14 Girls & U16 Girls
Wednesday: U16 Boys & U18 Boys
Thursday: U12 Girls D1, U20 Boys & U23 Boys
Saturday: U10 Boys & Girls and U12 Boys & Girls.
Games are generally played at the AWA Alliance Bank Stadium in Belmont, the Geelong Arena in North Geelong, the Geelong Sports Hub in South Geelong and the Leisuretime Sports Precinct in Corio.
Before making the commitment to our club, we believe it is important to outline the costs associated with playing basketball in the Geelong United Basketball League.
Basketball Victoria Participant Licence: $25 per annum.
Geelong United Registration Fee: $60 per season.
Sharks Basketball Club Fee: $40 per season. Club fees cover training facility costs, competition fees (team entry, fines, etc) and presentation day.
Before taking the court, all players must complete the registration form and make all relevant payments.

Basketball Geelong Match Fee (Paid at Every game played): $10
Sharks Basketball Club Uniform (one-off): $80 (singlet & shorts)
All teams train on Sunday afternoon at the Geelong Arena, 110 Victoria Street, North Geelong.
Normal training times are as follows:
The Geelong Arena (commencing 18 July, 2021)
2pm to 3pm - Aussie Hoops program
3pm to 4pm – U10 Boys, U10 Girls & U14 Boys
4pm to 5pm - U12 Boys, U12 Girls & U14 Girls
5pm to 6pm – U16 Girls, U16 Boys & U18 Boys
6pm to 7.30pm - Seniors
