Following last weekend's debacle at Keysborough, our 1st XVIII footy team has its backs to the wall as we meet the undefeated ladder-leader Port Colts in tomorrow's clash at Koornang Park. The lads will need to bring their A-game tomorrow and I'm confident the boys will rebound. I smell an upset in the air and the Bears will inflict the first loss for the boys from the Borough.
The Scoobies (aka 2nd XVIII footy team) continue to improve and are getting closer and closer to their next win. With some good inclusions, the boys will field a strong team fortomorrow's clash and I predict our lads will set the scene for the day in recording an unexpected win. Go get lads.
Things are getting very interesting on the netball court with the last round of matches of the regular season being played tomorrow.
Our Div 3 team needs a win tomorrow to have any chance of playing in the finals series and Coach Mersin says the girls are ready for the challenge. Our Div 1 & 6 teams are assured of playing finals and both teams are keen to get a win tomorrow to take winning form into the finals. The Div 4 girls can't make the finals but according to a couple of the stars of the team (Loz & Hannah who joined the footy boys for dinner last night) they're keen to knock up a win to finish their season on a winning note.
And congratulations to Johnny Eierweis who plays game # 50 for the Bears tomorrow. |
