This Saturday Woodend Hesket is proud to be the first community club to partner with the Carlton Football Club and their Carlton Respects Program.
Carlton Respects promotes gender equality for the prevention of domestic violence against women. As the largest co-gender sporting club with influence from people aged 7 – 60 in our communities, the Woodend Hesket Football Netball Club see this as a key action for the club so we can lead a conversation about an issue that is affecting all communities.
Our Senior, Reserve and Under 19 Footballers will all be wearing orange socks this week – the international color of harmony - and we urge all our supporters to sport their own touch of orange this week and join us in its endeavour to promote gender equality for the prevention of violence against women.
There will be a presentation from members of the Carlton Football Club during our ladies lunch in the Social Rooms around the program as well, please click on the attached link for more info about the program
