TALKING POINT
Woodend/Hesket – looking to bounce back against Rockbank after a disappointing loss against Broadford last week.
Rockbank – sitting a few places below the Hawks on the ladder, the games have been close between the pair over the last few seasons.
LAST WEEK
Woodend/Hesket – started well against Broadford with good defensive pressure but fell away again in the second quarter. Broadford stifled the Hawks who were not able to capitalise on the good work by the defenders in getting turnovers. Bringing the ball through the middle of the court let them down and this is something they will be keen to rectify in this match.
Rockbank– went down 23-22 against Riddell in a super close game
WHY THEY WILL WIN
Woodend/Hesket – the team will be determined to put in a better performance than the last game and with all-court pressure and an emphasis on playing a calm and controlled game will see a much better team on the court. Have started really strongly in every game this season and want to continue this.
Rockbank – will believe they can beat the Hawks and will use their home court to advantage.
WHO WILL WIN
Woodend/Hesket will win this game through their all court defence, improved delivery of the ball through the mid court and into the ring and determined attitude.
