A big 6 weeks of football are in front of all of our teams as we head towards the end of the home and away season. Our Under 19's are well placed to have a crack at the finals for the third season in a row, our Senior Team have demonstrated they can match it with all the other teams and are coming off a big win against Bulleen-Templestowe and confidence should be very high as we have the chance to redeem ourselves against St Marys Salesian this week. Our Reserves have had a tough run of late with injuries and a lack of numbers but the enthusiasm and commitment of the team can't be questioned and Pete Harrison has done a great job in trying circumstances.
For those of us involved off field we have had already had a busy and rewarding year so far and we have started to commence our planning for next year which will mark the 30th Anniversary of the first game played by our Club. We will be holding a 30th Anniversary Function in March next year (details to be confirmed shortly) at a prestigious location to celebrate this great achievement and to also officially launch the 2016 Season.
I'd like to thank all our Club Sponsors who have supported us this season and we look forward to your continuing support in future which is greatly appreciated by all at the Club.
Finally, we rely heavily on a very loyal group of Board Members and Volunteers to enable us to run the Club and field 3 teams each week. My thanks to you all for your tireless effort and commitment to the Club which is greatly appreciated by our entire playing group. If anyone else can find a few hours to help out on match day or put their hand up to help out off-field then let me assure you it will be a rewarding experience being involve with such a great group of people who all want the best for our Club.
Go Friars!
