The Seniors posted their seventh consecutive win, overwhelming Old Essendon by 33 points in wet conditions. The Nodders got off to a slow start, trailing by 14 points deep into the second quarter, but kicked seven of the last eight goals of the match to win convincingly. Josh Cowan (see photo with club legend The Sitch) was outstanding, kicking two goals in a BOG performance and Dave Chamberlain revelled in the wet conditions. Perhaps the most pleasing aspect of the win was the form of Stuart Ingliss who played brilliantly in his first senior match after having a shoulder reconstruction at the end of the 2012 season.
The Reserves also continued their winning ways with a 51-point victory. James Egan was again the target up forward kicking five goals. Paul Iacovangleo and Ben Woods were amongst the best, but the star that shone brightest was Steve Balloch, playing his 200th game for the club.
The Thirds recorded yet another thumping win, downing Peninsula by 131 points, Daniel Riggand Cam Raine each kicked six goals, while Daniel Nisbet had another 40 plus possessions to be named BOG.
The Under 19s suffered heart-breaking loss, falling to Marcellin by the narrowest of margins. The match was tight all day, but despite holding the opposition goal-less in the last quarter, the 19s just fell short. Michael Selvedurai again led from the front and was ably supported byLuke Strudwick, Patrick Noone and Josh Trounce.
