RESULTS 26th APRIL 2015
PANTHERS BLUE 15 10. 100 defeated GIPPSLAND 4. 1. 17
Pace was a cracker by Panthers Blue as they flew out of the blocks from the very first bounce and led by 18 points at quarter time, Rocket Pettit was again at his best directing traffic from the middle, and first gamer Damien King was making an impression on his first hit out with the Panthers. Also playing his first game was Jayden Suttie, a great asset to our tall timber, and relief ruckman for the ever reliable Michael Lisak.
Michael Wright after a slow start last week was back to his best and fairest form with four very nice goals from centre half forward.
Thanks to Mark Vanderven, Adam Suttie, Robyn Everly, Shaun Dux and Matty Pearson for making themselves available for the undermanned Gippsland team.
With the best teamwork for the season Panthers Blue were relentless in their effort to win the ball for the first three quarters, and had an unbeatable led going into the last quarter when Coach McDonald in true Panther spirit suggested maybe we could coast in the last quarter to avoid massive blow out for our Gippsland opponents, with the result of Gippsland winning the last quarter by 5 points. Well done Panthers Blue.

PANTHERS WHITE defeated ST FRANCIS XAVIER by forfeit (We gained 4 points )
RESULTS OF THE SCRATCH MATCH
PANTHER WHITE 9.10.64 defeated ST FRANCIS X 9.9.63
What a great way to celebrate Toby Crook’s milestone 50th game, a very close scratch match 1 point victory in a very fine example of FIDA footy, a match played in great competitive spirit by all Panthers players either in Mazenod or SFX colours.
Super coach Johnson did a fantastic job with the white board, as he worked overtime on team rotations
to keep all players with equal game time on the field.
Matthew Saunders played a ripper game, Josh Wallace and Shaun Dux showed great leadership skills as they endeavored to bring all our players into the game. Jack Morrison was again dominant in the ruck as he palmed the ball to either Ben Hawkins or Anthony DiStasio to set up many of our forward moves. Corey Pollock was a bit unlucky not to score from a free kick directly in front of goal, but he was unable to kick freely because of his troublesome hamstring injury.
Good to see Felix Bakens back with the Panthers and Daniel Palmer at the game assisting in coaching and drink supply to the team.
Thanks to all our players that supported St Francis Xavier and played with enthusiasm to enable only a 1 point margin at the end of game.
Neil McKinnon always seems to play better in opposition colours, and was one of the best for SFX.
Courage was shown by Nick Anagnostou after an early 21st birthday present from the boot of our resident muscle man Daniel Carpenter. a massive falcon in the face. (Happy birthday Nick on 29th)
Best Players; Too many to mention, a great team effort.
