Bendigo AFCA Coaches of the Year Awards

On behalf of the local Bendigo Australian Football Coaches Association (AFCA) branch I have great pleasure in announcing the winners of Coach of the Year.

All leagues in the Bendigo Area had a chance to nominate coaches in four categories.

Coaches came from the Bendigo Football League, Loddon Valley Football League, Heathcote and District Football League, Bendigo Junior Football League, Castlemaine Junior Football League and Kynton and District Junior Football League

They are Auskick, Junior, Youth and Senior.

From there the committee of Bendigo AFCA decide who will be awarded the great honor of winning these awards.

Winners this year are:

Tim Hansford (Huntly Auskick)

Murray Collins ( St Monicas Under 12 A)

Geoff Deppeler ( Castlemaine Under 16 ½ )

John Vale ( Colbinabbin Under 17)

Winners receive an engraved watch and they are then nominated for State Coach of the Year awards.

Each nominated coach will also receive an invitation to the State AFCA Coach of the Year Dinner held at the Members Dining Room at the MCG on Friday 7^th November.

It was wonderful to see that clubs are keen to nominate their coaches for some recognition of the many hours of time and effort they put into helping develop footballers in this region.
