THERE were 54 players who earned votes in this year’s race for the Bendigo Pioneers Football Club’s best and fairest award.
Sandhurst onballer Lachlan Tardrew polled 45 votes to earn the Neville Strauch Memorial club champion title.
Tardrew’s consistency and ability to win or influence a lot of contests in TAC Cup action was superb.
Runner-up was Leitchville-Gunbower defender Marty Hore as Maryborough’s Bailey Edwards, Rochester’s Joe Atley and Golden Square’s Jayden Burke all figured prominently in the award race.
Votes were cast on a 5-4-3-2-1 basis in the AFL Victoria under-18s competition.
