BENDIGO Pioneers clubmates Tommy Cole and Aidyn Johnson have been invited to the NAB AFL draft combined to be run in October.
Cole played a key role for Victoria Country in this year’s NAB AFL national under-18 championships victory.
He is a key onballer for the Pioneers in the TAC Cup competition and has played one match for Geelong’s VFL team.
Cole played for Sandhurst in the Bendigo Football League’s senior grand final last September.
Injuries and Scotch College commitments have meant Johnson from Echuca has played few matches for Bendigo this year.
He and Cole were in this year’s AIS AFL Academy.
A group of 80 players will be invited to the Draft Combine.
AFL clubs nominated 50 prospects they wanted to see. Players had to be nominated by at least five clubs to make the intake.
The combine is on from October 8 to 11.
