Joey Cua (Red Cliffs), Bryce Heeps (Irymple), Matthew Rix (Merbein), Lachlan Ryan and Josh Ryan (both South Mildura) are the new faces on the list.
Jacob Chisari (South Mildura), Dylan Darby (Imperials) and Danny Jones (Merbein) have been listed again.
AFL Victoria Sunraysia development officer Trevor Ryan said another three or four SFNL players could have been added to the Pioneers’ list.
“It’s a fantastic effort from the kids,” Ryan said.
“It’s a big program for them and that started in early November, so there has been a lot of hard work go in during those hot summer months.
“They’ve all worked hard and the ones that have got through have truly deserved it.
“There are a lot of fitness and game-sense drills involved that you have to do along the way.
“Then they get sent away to do their own weight programs, too.
“Players that get away and do that properly are the ones that advance a little bit quicker.”
