1. Lightning training commences Sunday 24 May;
2. Monday 1st June - Fixtures released daily (1 week)
3. Monday 8th June - Season commences (even though it is a public holiday); and
4. Saturday 13th June - Super 8's continue (Aussie Hoops to be advised).
We have just been advised that the back courts at the DBA Stadium are unavailable next week including this weekend due to the Arafura Games. This means training will commence Sunday 5 May, not Sunday 28 April as previously advised.
The Lightning Basketball Club Inc. senior presentation tips off at 4pm, Sunday 3 December at the Airport Hotel. Award presentations commence at 5pm. The Club is proud to announce the Master of Ceremonies will be Jason "give me the microphone" Ivinson.
This year's junior presentation will be held at Lake Leanyer from 10am to Midday. Please come along for a sausage sizzle and of course trophy / award presentations. Families are most welcome. Bring your hats n sunscreen, bathers n towels. Presentations will commence at 11am.
Basketball NT will this weekend host Basketball Australia's Head of High Performance Coach Development - Peter Lonergan. Peter will host a free clinic at the Marrara Indoor Stadium on Saturday 3rd June from 3:00-5:00pm titled "Drills to develop multi-skilled players". The clinic will be suitable for Coaches of all levels and provides a great opportunity to pick up new drills for your club team.
