Come down this Saturday at 10am to Coles Supermarket in Williamstown to meet your favourite Seagulls player and grab a Sausage! It is a great chance to chat to familiar faces and new recruits about the upcoming 2011 season.
The Williamstown Football Club playing list will be holding a Sausage Sizzle, selling 2011 Memberships, running a great raffle as well as handing out giveaways and prizes. Players will also be collecting donations for the Queensland Floods Appeal for those affected by the horrible floods.
Williamstown Football Manager Chris Dixon said the community BBQ idea was one driven by the Club's Leadership Group. "Williamstown Football Club has always been a club of the community and it's something our Leadership Group recognise and want to support. Our players love the big crowds and support we receive week in, week out and are always looking at ways we can make the club more accessible to the Williamstown and Western Suburbs Community."
"The Community BBQ will offer a great chance for people to meet and mingle with their local heroes. The Leadership Group thought with the recent horrific Floods up in Queensland that it was appropriate and a great opportunity to raise funds for those in need up North."
